Getting Started
Before starting it is worthwhile to take a few moments to consider a few key points about your betting activity.
Firstly, never bet more than you can comfortably afford to lose. This will help keep emotion out of your decision making process.
Secondly, always operate in a disciplined manner. Never be tempted to do anything you haven't planned for already. Having a strict staking strategy already worked out will stand you in good stead over time and stop you exceeding your own pre-set limits. Restricting your stakes or liabilities to no more than 10% of your working bank on each occasion is an easy way to maintain control.
Thirdly, be consistent. No mater how well things are going, never be tempted to make sudden jumps in the size of your stakes or liabilities you are willing to expose yourself to. Always remember, the day you forget this is bound to be the day the market could swing against you.
To start trading you will need to place funds in your Betfair account by logging in to www.betfair.com and click on 'Deposit'. Once this is done you can log out or close the browser and you are ready to launch ExPort.
If you have followed the download instructions correctly you will have an ExPort icon on your desktop. Just double click on this to launch the program.
