Auto-Update Instructions
From ExPort v1u an 'Auto-Update' feature has been introduced, which automatically checks for ExPort software updates when you start up your Windows system. This will keep your ExPort up to date with the latest available version. If you have internet security or a firewall installed on your system you will need to set its options to allow the ExPort Updater (x_export.exe) to access the internet. If you do not know how to do this please contact our Technical Support for assistance on (01992) 628688.
Please note: You should not run the update while the ExPort application is running. If you have ExPort open when the auto-update tries to run, you will be prompted to first close ExPort.
1. On Windows start up a dialogue will appear saying 'A New Update is available for ExPort - Exchange Portal - Do you want to download the new update' . Click the 'Yes' button to initiate the update download.
2. You will now be asked 'Do you want to install the new update'. Click the 'Yes' button to initiate the installation process.
3. A message will appear saying 'Extracting Files', then the ExPort installation will begin automatically. Follow the simple installation wizard on screen, following through the easy onscreen instructions step by step by clicking 'Next' when prompted and finally the 'Finish' button on the last screen to complete the setup process.
4. During the installation wizard you will get the option to add an ExPort quick launch shortcut icon to your desktop. If you wish to have an ExPort icon on your desktop, just leave the appropriate check box ticked when prompted.
5. Once installation is completed you can now launch the ExPort interface by double clicking on the ExPort desktop icon (if you created one) or select it from the 'Start >> Programs >> ExPort v1u - Exchange Portal >> ExPort'
Please note: To use ExPort you will need a Betfair account and this account will need to be 'Betfair API Enabled'. If you have not already arranged this please follow steps 1 and 2 on the 'ExPort - Exchange Portal >> Members Home' page.
