Starting Trading
Before you start trading - you have a couple of decisions to make! Firstly, that you will never use money you cannot afford to lose. If you do, emotion creeps in and as any full-time professional trader will tell you, this will cause you to make mistakes and error in judgment.
One of the main keys to keeping emotion at bay is to decide what stake level is a 'comfortable' amount to start with and then halve it. This will help ensure that the 'fear of loss' is not putting undue pressure on you while you are making decisions about your trades.
Secondly, you must decide to operate in a disciplined manner. Develop a staking plan that increases steadily along with your success. Never be tempted to suddenly increase stakes on a whim.
Thirdly, practice, practice, practice! Watch the screen, dry run a few trades by noting the odds and amounts you would back and lay at and add up your profits and losses (if any) at the end of your practice session. Only use real money when you feel you are ready!
